My starving baggage's coming~~

I got my starving baggage yesterday!

3 big boxes with a cover.

I bought them to divide the clean clothes into 3 boxes for my 3 kids.

They just put their own clothes into a drawers that I clean, divide and fold them, but unless I ask to do it, they will keep them as they are, or more worse, all of them are scattered again.

Though I tried to change the time to ask, they complained "I know"with some angry whenever I said. My older daughter told me if I was bullying.

I was really tired of getting troubles like this.

When I put clean clothes into these boxes. the room would not be scattered, I didn't have to fold them and see them either owing to the cover.

As soon as I saw the box, I bought it for me!

Since I put them in there one after another, they would get a lot of wrinkles, which would make them put away soon, I think. But I don't know whether it will work well or not.

My son immediately told me that I didn't work this year, but when I asked the reason not to follow my saying honestly, he didn't answer it at all.

I could spend the 1st day of today peacefully thanks for these magical boxes.

来た、来た、待ちに待っていた荷物が届きました。

大きな蓋つきの箱が三つ。

何に使うのかというと、洗い終わった洗濯物を仕分ける為です。

洗濯して、仕分けて、畳んで貰った自分の服を、ただ自分の棚に戻すだけなのに、片付けてねって言わなかったら、ずっとそこに置きっぱなしで、結局、また混ざってしまって誰のものか分からなくなる・・・。
指示を出すタイミングを変えて言ってみたものの、どのタイミングも言えば必ず、「分かってる！」と偉そうに返って来る・・・。
「こんな時間に言うなんて、イジメか？」とまで言われる・・・。

そんなやりとりに、いい加減うんざりしてきて、この箱の中にそれぞれ分けて入れてしまえば、散らからなくて済むし、私も畳まなくて済む、蓋があるので見なくて済む。

ネットで見た瞬間に、即、購入しました。

上から上へとドンドン入れていくので、服はシワだらけになるので、否応なしに自分で畳んで片付けないと・・・と思うでしょう、というのが私の狙いですが、どうでしょうか・・・？

早速、息子が「今年は仕事もしてへんのに！」と言っていましたが、「片付けるだけやのに、何で素直に動けなかったん？」っていうと、「こっちは忙しいのに！」と言ったきり、何も返って来ませんでした、笑。

魔法の箱のおかげで、一日目の今日は平和に過ごせました。

Farmers' market in Wakayama prefecture & homemade Japanese apricot juice

Last Sunday, we drove to a farmers' market in Wakayama prefecture to get some fresh Japanese plum, but they didn't sell it yet.
We bought Japanese apricot named "ume" to make juice with my daughter instead of it.
We make the juice in this season here, which is a liitle sour and sweet. I'll show here when we make it.

It was a foggy day yesterday. We started the rainy season here...

昨日、和歌山のめっけもん市場に、スモモを買いに行ったのですが、まだちょっと早かったようです。今は梅のシーズン、梅ジュースを作りたいと次女が言ったので、梅を買って帰りました。

道中、天気も悪く、霧が濃く、視界も悪かったです。

美味しい梅ジュースが作れますように。またアップしますね～

めっけもん市場、Farmers' market

Mom's home cooking for my daughter...

When I asked my daughter about her favorite home cooking I make, she answered "Kyu-ri no Kyu-chan", which means pickled cucumbers....

I thought she would answer hamburger steaks, grilled chunk of pork or beef, deep-fried rice cakes. But she answered the pickled cucumbers that we eat only in summer, because we get a lot of cucumbers from the yard in summer at once and I am worried about how to eat all the amount without throwing them away.

I will share the recipe here, it's very simple and can keep them in a refrigerator for a while.

The recipe of pickled cucumbers in Japanese


《Ingredients》

1 kg  cucumbers
2 teaspoons  salt
20-30 g  ginger

*250cc soy sauce (I always changed from 300cc)
*200g  suger
*50cc  vineger


1. Cut Cucmbers into 7-8 mm in width, sprinkle salt and keep as they are for more than 30 mins.

2. Put the seasonings * in a pan, boil it.
    Squeeze cucumbers, put them and ginger into the pot and heat it until the seasonings boil again.

3. Remove the pot from the heat, keep it cool down.
    Take cucumbers and ginger out of the pot.

4. Heat only the seasons* come to the boil, and stop the heat.  And then, go back the cucumbers and ginger to the pot.

5. After cooling down, put them into a container and keep it in a refrigirator.

*You can use the seasonings once more again for pickled cucumbers and seasonings to grill, roasted or deep-fried meats.

IHAI : Japanese Memorial Tablet ~English~

There are many kinds of Ihai, and I selected one from them.

This is my grandma's temporary wooden ihai written by the priest.

My father's ihai

I went to make my grandma's "ihai", or a memorial tablet at a Buddhist alters company today.
It depends on families about our memorial tablets, Buddhist alters and graves. According to my friend, her parent in law doesn't have any tablets and alter at home, and the grave is not our common one with family name and any persons of her relatives can come into it after the death. I felt like to agree with her free style way.

However, thinking about my relatives' feelings, I thought I should do the same way of my parents for my grandma and went to make her ihai while holding my grandma's new name(we are given a new name after the death by a priest) and the height of my father's ihai.
I have made it twice now, so I have some knowledge.

Since I already have my ancestors' ihai, my grandma's should be the same or smaller than the others of my ancestors'. I selected the same size and kind besides the style and color of letters as my father's and went to pay the money.

Though I didn't know I used to be a member, I could get it 10% off. How lucky I am !
Before leaving there, I asked them I could get it before the ceremony for her forty-ninth day after her death.


And then, I took my daughter to a glasses shop.
She seems to be inherited bad eyes from me, she has the big difference between both bad eyes, which makes difficult to make her glasses.
However, she had better not use contacts yet, so she managed to make her new glasses.

I was thinking about a lasic surgery for me, but my eyes are too bad to get it. The doctor said I should take another surgery to change to bifocal glasses in eyes maybe 10 years later.
Are there any one to have it?
