My 6th grade daughter told about today's experiments of Science.
They had 2 experiments, one is to dissolve hydrochloric acid and iron or aluminum, and another is to confirm where the missing iron / aluminum went away.
I remembered and missed it when I did at school.
She said, " When we got very pungent smell in the first experiment and escaped from the laboratory, we found good smell from the cooking room of home economics. The 2nd grade students were having a sweet potatoes party then. But I became very bad soon because these smells were blended each other."
Some of her friends put small tissue into both holes of their noses...
How cute and funny it was!!
Well, I asked her about the result of this experiment.
"The iron / aluminium is gone away by sight, but there is still in the liquid. So when it's burned, the metal comes up again. But... We should warm it with low heat. Because we did it with a little high heat, we got burned powder finally." She answered correctly. Good, good!!
And they had some time to predict about the experiment before doing and wrote it in the notebook.
She draw a imaginative mascot on her notebook. I thought it was very pretty !!
６年生の次女の昨日の授業が、３時間連続で理科の実験をした話をしてくれました。
塩酸が鉄とアルミニウムを溶かす実験と消えた金属はどこに行ってしまったのか検証する実験の二つを、一度にやったらしいです。
う～ん、懐かしい。
「最初の実験をした直後に、鼻にツーン！とくっさい匂いが入って来たから、思わず廊下に避難したらな、横で２年生がおいもパーティをしてて、すっごい良い匂いが漂っててん。くっさいのと、良い匂いと合わさって、何とも言えない匂いになって、ほんま気持ちが悪かったわ。」と次女。
中には、テイッシュを両方の鼻の穴に詰めていた子もいたそうです。何かかわいいし、面白い光景。
で、肝心な実験結果が頭に入っているか訊ねると、「見えなくなったけど、塩酸の中に溶けているだけで、液体を蒸発させたら、また出てくるねん。でもな、その時に弱火で沸騰させないとあかんのに、少し火が強かったから、焦げでしまってん。」とちゃんと答えることが出来ました。OK、OK!
実験を行う前にノート整理をする時間もあったようで、誇らしげにノートを見せてくれました。
やっぱり娘のノートには、ワンポイントマスコットが描いてある～。なかなか可愛いやん～
