Students' Recital at My Kid's Elementary School

We had students' recitals at my daughter's school from the 5th lesson and a parents' meeting 6th of this 2 days.
Each grade has 1 musical they create by themselves based on a teacher's plan.

On the first day is musicals for first 3 grades and the second is for last 3 grades. They play the music instruments, play a role and dance. 
Only 4th grade have a coming of half-age ceremony, they studied how to give birth and grow up, they asked their parents about stories and memories about when they were born, they thought back their pasts and about their dreams and aims by themselves before the ceremony. 

And they present their thankful feelings and dreams on a stage one by one. 
Parents and teachers are very impressed to understand how they have improved themselves. And it's very good that they can go on their way according to the aims they decide, I think.

Students prepare for this day every year, but many of them have got an influenza this year and some of their classes were and are closed. It's bad for the 4th grade couldn't take part in the today's recital.

The influenza has been spreading here, we have to take care of ourselves.

And we had a class meeting of students' parents and the teacher after the recital. We have the meetings like that for a few times in a year, this is the last one.

The classroom teacher told about kids' daily activities and situations to us. And we watched a video about our kids during this year.

I recognized all of them were grown up a little during this year and all of them seemed to have a good day and memories in it.

I felt very happy to see it.

And I met an English teacher there after a long absence, who and I worked at the same school before.

I enjoyed talking with him, and my day is very good for me except one thing.

While recording my kid's recital by my cell phone, it had no room to take it suddenly... I could record only the starting.
I couldn't help keeping it in my mind... But my friend asked if she would give me the record... I'm happy to have a good friend!

今日と明日は、娘の小学校の学習発表会。
毎年、三学年ずつ、普段の学習の成果を5時間目に発表、６時間目はクラス懇談があります。
楽器あり、劇あり、ダンスあり・・・先生が提案した題材を元に、自分たちで、中身は勿論、背景、小道具、大道具、振り付け等、自分たちで工夫作り上げたものを、親の前で発表します。
高学年になればなる程、先生の関与は少なくなり、子どもらだけで作り上げていくので、やり遂げた後の達成感というのは、子どもらに団結と自信を与えるので、私はこの学習も良いもんだなって思います。

４年生は1/2成人式というのをします。
1/2成人式・・・ちょうど１０歳になる学年でセレモニーをします。
人間の誕生を学習し、自分たちが生まれた時の話や思い出を親から聞き、自分たちが生きてきたこの10年を振り返ります。そこから短期目標や将来の夢などを見つけ出していく・・・。
それを舞台の上で一人ずつ大きな声で発表していきます。
親にとっても、先生にとっても、すごく泣ける感動する発表会です。
でも、今年はインフルエンザで学年閉鎖中。見れなくて残念でした。

その後のクラス懇談では、一年間を振り返っての先生からのお話しの後、子どもたちの写真から作ったメッセージビデオを見せて貰いました。
4月当初から比べると、随分とお兄さん、お姉さんになっていて、みんなの笑顔に胸を打たれるものがありました。色々な行事を経て、みんな成長したなあって思いました。だけど、今持っている幼さ、可愛らしさ、子どもらしさを出来る限り残して、大きくなって欲しいなって思いました。

そして前に働いていた小学校でご一緒したNETの先生に久しぶりに会いました。話に花が咲いて廊下でべらべらと話していたら、あっという間に先生の周りには子どもらがまとわりついていました。
すごく朗らかで楽しい先生、慕われるのも当たり前か・・・。

今日は本当に楽しい一日でした。一点を除いて・・・
ちょうど娘の出番が来たので、携帯で録画していたら、容量オーバーで録画がほとんど出来ませんでした。
こんなことは初めてなのに、こんな時に・・・。
友だちが「私が録画してるから大丈夫！」って言ってくれました。
友だちに感謝！！
