My family trip during this Golden Week ② Onigajo

"Onigajo", one of the world heritages in Japan.

The place of Kumano is very famous for an Ancient and holy walking path in the mountains and has a lot of stories related to the God. This place has its own story among them.

Esplanade along the sea

この遊歩道の先にある洞窟状にスッポリ開いたこの空間は、鬼の口の中のようだと言われてるらしいけど、その先にある壮大な景色に目を取られて、余り見てなかった…

The hole at the end of this waking path is called "the mouth of a demon."
They believed demons lived over the hole, because of the sharpness of cliffs. I wanted to see the over there too much to watch the mouth of a demon.

熊野市にある世界遺産の鬼ヶ城。

ここの景色は遠くを眺めると、穏やかで雄大な景色なんだけど、
すぐ下に目をやると、荒々しい波…だからこんなにも浸食されてるのね
