The EIKEN Test in Practical English Proficiency

I hadn't used English since the graduation of school, and it's the last year that I changed my mind to study it again. Because, I saw my kids show the weak awareness in school English and I wondered if they could study with more fun.

Because of a long time absence of more than 20 years, I couldn't remember even simple words and grammars and had difficulties to read English as well. I can't remember new words easily. 
Since it'll be almost 1 year, I want to know my current ability, I made up my mind to take the EIKEN and TOEIC.

And then, today is the first stage of EIKEN, when is also parents visiting day at my younger daughter's school. I feel a little sorry not to go there, but I'll relax and take the test soon !





大学卒業以来、全然使っていなかった英語を、もう一度やり直そうと思ったのは去年。
それも、我が子が学校での英語に、強く苦手意識を示したのを見て、もっと楽しく学習が出来ないものかと思ったのがきっかけでした。

もう２０年以上ぶりだったので、最初は簡単な単語や文法すら出てこなかったし、英文を見るだけでもきつかったです。でもなかなか新しい単語は覚えられない。
そろそろ一年になるし、自分の英語力がどこまで回復したのか知りたくて、手始めに英語検定２級とTOEICを受けることにしました。

そして、今日が英検の一次試験の日。娘の参観日と重なってしまって、参観日に行けないのは残念だけど、落ち着いて受けてきます～
